December is here, so of course it is time to get the Christmas films out, make the hot chocolate and relax in front of the fire, getting you into the festive spirit. Todays post is on some of my favourite Christmas films, there are a lot out there that I love, but here are some of my current favourites (not in any order).
The Polar Express
This has become a must watch on Christmas Eve for me, there is just something special and magical about this film. I have loved it since it was released, I remember watching it for the first time on Christmas Eve and fell in love with it! Since then, it is something I have to watch every year, if you have not watched it, then please do. It has become a small tradition for me to watch this on Christmas Eve afternoon.
Elf is just one of them Christmas films you just have to watch and have to love! I mean, who does not love it? It never gets old, and it is a must for me to watch in the run up to Christmas. This is definitely one of the first Christmas films I go to watch every year, it gets you into the Christmas spirit, and I guess Christmas is just not the same without it.
The Grinch (How the Grinch Stole Christmas)
What a Christmas classic! I remember watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas when I was younger, my whole family would sit down on Christmas Eve, when it went dark outside and we would watch it together, this would always be the last thing I watched before heading to bed. This film definitely puts a smile on your face and put you in the mood for Christmas. I mean, who doesn’t love Whoville? It is just a fantastic film! A must watch for Christmas.
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Just like A Christmas Carol, it tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the three ghosts; but told by the muppets instead. I remember every Christmas when I was younger; the family and I would settle down on a cold day and would just end up watching it. This film has left me some great memories of watching it with the family, so it is hard for it not to be one of my favourites.
I have loved this film for many years now, and with it being filled with many fantastic actors and actresses, it is hard not to love! Love Actually is a romantic comedy, following the stories of different characters throughout, and it definitely gets you in the mood for Christmas. This is a must watch in the run up to Christmas!
There are many Christmas films I have seen throughout the years, and I do love a lot of them, they just make the run up to Christmas that little bit better.
